Asian artists to present jazz music in Hanoi, HCMC


The Japan Foundation in Vietnam, in cooperation with Yamaha Motor Vietnam and the Japanese consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, will host two jazz concerts by the multinational band “Unit Asia” on Feb 3 and 5 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City respectively.


According to a press release from the organizers, the band, formed by five Asian musicians from Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia has been performing both in and outside Japan, creating a new type of music and exchanging musical ideas with artists in other countries.


At their first concerts in Vietnam, Tung Duong, a talented Vietnamese vocalist, will collaborate with them.


In Hanoi the concert will be held at the Youth Theater, 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street, and in HCMC at Ben Thanh Theater, 6 Mac Dinh Chi Street, District 1.
