La cantante retoma un ciclo de conciertos en el Maipo, donde hace jazz y se abre al folklore y al cancionero latinoamericano.

Sonri e y habla con la misma naturalidad con la que ignora el asedio profesional del fotógrafo de adncultura, cuya câmara atrapa los gestos y expresiones que ella prodiga sin mucha conciencia de sí misma. Alrededor, las mesas del café Zurich de Belgrano se van poblando mientras en la televisi�n, a un costado, empieza el amistoso entre la Argentina y Alemania. LIGIA PIRO - How deep is the ocean

Ligia Piro

She was born in Buenos Aires. She was formed as a singer, in the National Conservatory of Music L. Buchardo, with the teachers Robert Britos and Africa De Retes, and as an actress, at the school of theater of Agustín Alezzo. She performs in different plays, as "Vino de Ciruela" (directed by Rubén Pires) and in musical comedies like "Nine" (directed by David Leveaux), "Gotan" and " El Romance del Romeo y la Julieta" (directed by Manuel G. Gil), among others.

Dedicated to jazz and bossa nova, since 1995, she made presentations in all the Buenos Aires circuit and jazz festivals. During her solo career, she recorded her first CD: "LP" in 2003, presented in different theaters in Buenos Aires: Presidente Alvear theater, ND Ateneo, La Trastienda, La Comedia (Rosario), etc. In 2005 she won the KONEX Prize as better jazz soloist interpreter, and recently she presented her second CD: BABY!
