Camila Inês - Jazzmine

Letter by Camila to JAZZofilo
The CD, called Jazzmine, he is almost ready, we are running to be released in December. The cover was beautiful. You will receive your before arriving in stores. When the time comes I will send the material to you. Will be 7 songs, 5 jazz classics and 2 in Portuguese, and 1 unpublished.
The songs are:
Speak Low,
Tenderly,
In a Sentimental Mood,
My Funny Valentine,
Cry Me a River,
Eu e a Brisa
Indecision.

The classic jazz were in a groove of 70's and 80's, with some special effects, like the hiss of vinyl delicious with a voice soft and melodic as well as the big ballads (which is more my face .... kkkk). Canto also "Eu e a Brisa" by Johnny Alf, in an unprecedented arrangement, and "Indecision", new song written by my mother (Veralúcia), which is a latin-jazz.

The CD was recorded and mixed at Studio Factory, one of the best of Recife (where Nana Vasconcelos and other large recorded). The voice was raised in Studio Power, one of the best of Brasilia. The Power joined as a partner of the project, because the owner is a great friend of mine and was keen to participate. he CD will be mastered by Ricardo Garcia at Magic Master, a great professional mastering working with famous artists such as Caetano Veloso and many others ... I wanted everything to be flawless! This is my respect for the public!

The look of the CD was pretty cool. All in language and 40's, CD imitation vinyl, complete with a "pin up" is a caricature of me, created by my good friend and artist, Celso Matias. I tried playing with the public. Using the visual language of the 40's and contemporary musical language. I wanted people to feel prestigious and identified with some element within the CD. I wanted people to feel that the CD was done in a "custom" means?

The musical production is signed by Ed Staundiger (my pianist, who made the arrangements and has a strong influence of the grooves of the 70's and 80's), co-produced by Misael Barros (my drummer, who has strong influence on jazz, and is deep sambajazz knowledgeable of various genres) and for me, I am romantic and love ballads to cool. Some tracks contain beautiful arrangements of metals and metal strings that came enrrique the production of the CD. We combine all that and ended up getting a very nice CD, good to hear ... and listen ... that was what I wanted.
