DR LONNIE SMITH
Dr Lonnie Smith is one of the last authentic masters of the Hammond B3 organ. He originally came to notoriety as a member of George Benson's classic quartet, and over the last five decades he has furthered the sound of Jazz Organ, created a worldwide fanbase, and revealed his musical talents on over seventy albums. His name is now truly synonymous with the instrument. A prolific creative force and innovator, his musical evolution has included recording everything from tribute albums to Jimi Hendrix and John Coltrane to straight-ahead jazz, funk and acid-jazz recordings. Expect sparks to fly tonight!
