We read another obituary about the late German trombonist Johannes Bauer ( Lausitzer Rundschau). --- We learned of the passing of the Scottish-American baritone saxophonist Joe Temperley at the age of 86 ( BBC, Daily Record, The Scotsman,  San Francisco Chronicle ), the trombonist Buster Cooper at the age of 87 ( Tampa Bay Times), the Brazilian drummer Joao Palma at the age of 75 ( Jazz Station), the trumpeter Paul Smoker at the age of 75 ( Democrat and Chronicle , WXXINews), the avant-garde composer Ursula Mamlok at the age of 93 ( New York Times), the singer Candye Kaneat the age of 54 ( Los Angeles Times), the Japanese synthesizer pioneer Isao Tomita at the age of 84 ( New York Times), as well as the poet Michael S. Harper at the age of 78 (New York Times).
