Having made his name and honed his trade through his association with the West London broken beat scene, as leader of the SK Radicals and associate of the Bugz In The Attic collective, multi-instrumentalist and contemporary jazzman extraordinaire Sean Khan is notable for his ability to fuse traditional jazz with contemporary styles and sounds.  Sean and the band will perform tracks from his sophomore LP ‘Muriel’, an album-length celebration of the jazz improvisation that Khan first fell in love with, here tonight with two very special guest vocalists in the form of Heidi Vogel (Cinematic Orchestra) and UK Neo-soul icon Omar.

Sean’s live band consists of percussionist Laurie Lowe, a drummer since the age of six who has gained experience playing with artists across a broad spectrum of musical genres, including some of the countries most renowned jazz musicians, such as Gilad Atzmon, Nicolas Meier, Jim Mullen and Tony Kofi, to name a few.  Laurie is joined by Dario de Lecce on double bass and Andy Noble on keys. Together they lay the foundational groove for Sean’s highly accomplished and expressive sax playing.
