1 . Jaimeo Brown Transcendence – This World Ain’t My Home (duration : 7:52) A powerhouse trio featuring Jaimeo Brown on drums , J.D. Allen on tenor sax , and Grammy-nominated guitarist Chris Sholer. The album to be released in April also features a few guest talents including pianist Geri Allen, harmonium player Andrew Shantz, East Indian vocalist Falu, and keyboardist Kelvin Sholar. Transcendence is acoustic jazz rooted in African-American spirituals and East Indian concepts, highlighted with electronic textures. (Source Blogcritics)

Tadd Dameron, A Jazz Master With A ‘Lyrical Grace’ : Tadd Dameron worked with everyone from Miles Davis to Artie Shaw, Count Basie to John Coltrane. But Dameron got to the heavens all too soon. When he died from cancer on March 8, 1965, he was just 48 years old. (Source npr)
