The Mile High Jazz Band with vocalist Sheryl Adams will be joined by poets
and readers for an evening of big-band music and poetry on the theme “Tried and
True,” from 8 to 10 p.m. Sept. 11 at at Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson St., across
the street from the Nevada legislature building in Carson City.
Each poem read will be followed by a related big-band tune. Admission is $5
general and free for age 18 and under. The program will feature award-winning
poets and readers Rita Geil, Susan Sara Priest, Amy Roby and others. Details:
