Music from jazz to classical featured in new season in Watchung

WATCHUNG — The Watchung Arts Center will open its doors to a new season of programs beginning in September.

The center provides cultural programs to members and non-members throughout the year.

Programs include musical series for classical, jazz, India classicals and featured guests for all musical genres.

Also offered are a wide variety of classes and workshops for children and adults all season long culminating in camps in July and August.  

Classes include Children’s Art Workshops, Life Drawing and Painting Open Studio, Yoga classes for all levels, Meditation and Ballroom Dance Classes.
The center’s opening calendar includes:

Saturday, Sept. 8 – The Improvables Adult performance.
Sunday, Sept. 9 – Art Reception Opening for September exhibition.
Saturday, Sept. 15 – Lisa Coppola, NJ IDOL judge, back to perform country/rock concert.
Sunday, Sept. 23 – CatC – Kathleen Supova.
Saturday, Oct. 6 – India Classicals.
Sunday, Oct. 7 – Artist Reception Unique Vision Workshop and Ross Wagner.
Saturday, Oct. 13 – The Improvables Family performance.

The Watchung Arts Center’s Gallery and office hours are noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday - Friday, and Saturday by appointment.
