featuring CAROL GRIMES 


Legendary British jazz singer pays tribute to the great Oscar Brown Jr, American singer, songwriter, playwright, poet, civil rights activist, and actor. Brown Jnr who was famed for his deftly crafted songs was one of the very first song-writers to add lyrics to the jazz hits of the day, famously writing the lyrics to such standards as "Dat Dere", "Afro-Blue" and "Work Song" and inspiring the likes of Jon Hendricks and Bob Dorough to follow suit. Grimes is joined by pianist Dorian Ford, bassist Neville Malcolm, drummer Winston Clifford and trombonist Annie Whitehead.
