Come see and hear Ed Wise and his New Orleans Jazz Band pay a musical tribute to the place where American popular music in all its diversity began. This eight-piece band will showcase Dixieland jazz perform New Orleans-style jazz from Ed’s book of original and imaginative arrangements of jazz tunes, crafted during his twelve-year residency in the Crescent City.
Formerly of New Orleans and a resident of Philadelphia since Hurricane Katrina, Ed Wise has been bringing the traditional jazz, culture, and heritage of turn-of-the-century New Orleans to audiences on the East Coast for over four years. He has been a professional musician for over 40 years, performing across the United States, in Canada and Europe.
