As a performer of classical jazz standards from the Great American songbook, Trisha O'Brien's passion for music comes through in her heartfelt interpretations of love songs. As music critic Carlo Wolff remarked, "They're standards, but they sound fresh when Trisha O'Brien sings them."
Trisha began her vocal career shortly after graduating from college with degrees in Socail Services and Psychology. She performed for many years at various jazz clubsand concert venues across the United States and Europe. Her warm, pure voice has enchanted audiences from New York to Chicago, and Paris to Amsterdam.
In 2007, Trisha performed in New York with music legend David Amram at The Theater for the New City and the Cornelia Street Cafe. In April of 2008, She debuted at the famed Royal Room at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida where she was accompanied by well known jazz pianist Shelly Berg. She has also performed with outstanding guitarist Gene bertoncini. Trisha's debut CD, They Say It's Wonderful, is a beautiful collection of ballads, bossa nova and swing tunes. She has been featured in numerous magazine articles and has made guest radio appearances on NPR. Trisha is currently working on her follow up CD, scheduled for release in Spring 2009.
With her charismatic stage presence, she is destinedto remain in the forefront of the jazz performance world. The lovely and graceful Trisha O'Brein, with a voice that can be soft and sultry or swinging and joyous, will continue to bring listening pleaseure to people around the world.
