The incomparable Elena Bennett sings with the Fred Barton Orchestra.
The song is "You're Following Me," with music by Burt Bacharach and lyric by Bob Hilliard. The CD "A Wrinkle In Swingtime" came out in 1998 with 13 tracks, featuring Elena Bennett and an orchestra of 15-28 musicians, arranged and conducted by Fred Barton.Elena Bennett and Fred Barton will recreate their Legendary Song Salon at Iridium on January 26, 2010 at 6:30pm.
Elena Bennett and Fred Barton, singer/pianist duo extraordinaire, joined forces at the former Eighty-Eights, and out of their weekly performances evolved the Bennett & Barton Song Salon – the first evening of its kind, with Bennett & Barton singing spontaneous sets drawn from the Great American Songbook and classic Broadway repertoire, aided and abetted by talented guests who turn up in the audience any given night. Past guests of the Bennett & Barton Song Salon have included Phyllis Diller, Liza Minnelli, Teri White, and late great songwriter Robert Wright among many others from the Broadway and cabaret world.
