Gary Morgan & PanAmericana! is an exciting 20 piece Latin Jazz Orchestra that specializes in contemporary music of Brazil, Cuba and New York. Gary is an award-winning composer/arranger whose brilliant arrangements explore such rhythms as bossa nova, choro, samba, baião, frevo, maracatú, mambo, son, danzon and rumba. He also presents the music of gifted but seldom-heard latin composers such as Milton Naqscimento, Luiz Eça, Hermeto Pascoal, Itiberê Zwarg, Hilario Duran and Alain Perez, in addition to his own works. PanAmericana! also features some of the best young jazz soloists in New York.
Arranger Gary Morgan deploys a kaleidoscope of orchestral strategies and a veritable cornucopia of tones and timbres, instrumental combinations and colors with his PanAmericana big band…”  Hot House magazine, July, 2008

Felicidade,” which means happiness, certainly provides a tremendous dose of musical joy here whether one is a fan of Latin/Brazilian music or not. Morgan’s charts are robust full of fire while the explosive PanAmericana orchestra makes the music glow all over. With out question, this is one of the finest Latin jazz albums to be released this year blending the best of Latin/Brazilian music and big band jazz making for a winning combination.
