Since their engagement by the Half Note Records in 2007, the McCoy Tyner Music has released some work. In 2007 was "Quartet" a live recording with Joe Lovano, Christian McBride and Jeff "Tain" Watts in the band of John Coltrane, but was rather ambitious considering its own terms. Then came "Guitars," last year, with an interesting set recorded on CD / DVD, Tyner battle where the fourth chord to sound against the forefront of the band to support the product guitarists.
Next August 25, fans of Tyner, or anyone with an interest in American jazz, you have access to "Solo: Live in San Francisco. While "Quartet" was recorded in the "Bay Area" in the "Yoshi's Oakland," this session was recorded in "Herbst Theater" during the Festval of Jazz from San Francisco (SFJAZZ) in spring 2007. Program are included in the basic repertoire of Tyner and "standards". "Live From San Francisco" is the first solo recording in Tyner in the last ten years. Below the tracks:
1. African Village African Village
2. I Should Care I Should Care
3. Lazy Bird Lazy Bird
4. Naima Naima
5. Just Feelin' Just Feelin '
