Later this year New Orleans trumpeter Abram Wilson, now living in London, will release his latest quartet album for Dune records. But before that he turns his hand to acting in Shakespeare’s comedy As You Like It. He plays the roles of Jaques and Amiens in a new production directed by Tim Supple at the Curve theatre in Leicester from 26 February-28 March. The Curve production also features music by Nitin Sawhney. It’s not Abram’s first foray into theatre as his new part follows a role in Tarell McCraney’s production of new play In The Red And Brown Water last year.
