Acadiana Center for the Arts is kicking off January with a bang.
Whether you want a dinosaur adventure with the family or an intimate evening of jazz performers, they have something for everyone to start the new year.
Jazz, art, broadway and film are all the things you can expect to see at the Acadiana Center for the Arts the entire month of January.
"At the ACA we're really concerned about offering things for all and lots in this community and that's the wonderful thing about being in this space of course because we can do so many different things," said Executive Director Gerd Wuestemann.
Wuestemann says he carefully plans each show at the ACA searching across the country for performers.
"One of the artist is Josh Ritter, he's a fantastic singer and song writer, he's really a raising star right now," said Wuestemann. "We tracked him down for about two years before we could make the dates work and what's more exciting is he actually kicks off his tour right here at ACA next week."
There's nothing like a date night where you can listen to the sweet sounds of jazz music New York style.
"With our jazz shows we're doing a table seating style so you feel like you're a jazz club in New York, it's a cool vibe and you have table service where you can enjoy a glass of wine," said Wuestemann.
