Swing46 Jazz and Supper Club offers Dining, Dancing and Cocktails, A Dance Lesson, A Swing DJ and Awesome Live Bands Every Night!

We open at 5pm and serve a full dinner menu and bar snack menu till midnight.

Happy Hours are from 5pm to 8pm with half price drink specials at the bar.

Our menu is traditional American Fare with a Modern twist, each dish is carefully prepared using only the freshest ingredients.

Everything is homemade, all the sauces, all the dressings and even the bread is baked fresh daily!
The only thing we bring in from outside are the desserts.

The venue features music and dance styles from the fabulous Swing Era
You can Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Waltz, Foxtrot, or freestyle!

Each night you will find the most talented, professional musicians from all over the world with charts and arrangements that are impeccable and true to the genre we celebrate.

The dance lesson is at 9pm taught by a professional instructor and usually lasts a half hour.

Sunday thru Thursday the band plays from 8:30pm to 11:30pm
Fridays and Saturdays the band plays from 9:30pm to 1:00am

There is a minimal music charge for entertainment, this includes the Dance Lesson, the Swing DJ, the Live Band and Dancing.
Dinner and Drinks are separate.

The music charge is just $12 Sunday thru Thursday and just $15 on Fridays and Saturdays.

No need to make a reservation — unless you’re having dinner, if you are coming for cocktails and dancing — just Come On Down!!

We are located on 46 Street between 8th and 9th Avenues on Restaurant Row.

History

Swing 46 is a jazz and supper club in the heart of New York City’s theater district. Celebrating more than 15 years on restaurant row, the venue keeps swing music and dance alive in the big apple. In June of ’97 original owner Judith Lalor first opened the doors to SWING46 Jazz and Supper Club.

Her idea was to create a dinner dance club with a focus on the fabulous music of the “Swing Era” that ran from the late 1930′s thru the 1940′s to the early 1950′s.

After working at SWING46 for the last ten years, John Akhtar has now taken over the reigns and is the new owner. The handover of the club was a seamless transition as John and Judith have worked so closely together for so many years. As we continue to work together we hope you enjoy all the club has to offer
