hey and welcome!
I grew up in a very small, very windy little village on the west cost of Jylland in Denmark. There I started to blow some wind into a trumpet. I decided, after 10 years in Copenhagen, an education at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, and some fun playing and teaching experiences, that I had to try how it is to live in New York. Just for a year. And so, I have resided in Brooklyn since 2000.
in 2003 I finished a BFA in Jazz Performance at The New School. These days, I play and teach around in town when I'm not hanging in the park with my son.
THE MUSIC
The music you are listening to, is from a gig last Sunday with Anat Fort, piano; Chris Tordini, bass & RJ Miller, drums. There are two songs and two snippets from a longer piece. The music was recorded by the ever present Scott Friedlander. Enjoy!
CORNELIA STREET CAFE
Yes, I curate the music at Cornelia Street Cafe. Please don't use this opportunity to use a myspace friendship to get a gig, let's just be friends and exchange whatever we wanna exchange. Go to the cafe's website and send me an email, and hope for the best. I wish I could book all of you, but there are too few days in the year, and too few venues in NYC.
