This weekend, on stage at the Ibirapuera Auditorium, the Trio formed by musicians Taubikin Benjamin (piano), Sergio Pray (drums), Zeca Assumpção (bass) and Joatan Nascimento (trumpet), will be on stage at the Ibirapuera Auditorium on Friday (06 / 11), Saturday (07/11) and Sunday (08/11).
With an eclectic repertoire, composed of crying, Brazilian songs and original compositions, the trio will make a tour of the musical cultures of the states of Sao Paulo, Pernambuco, Bahia and passadinha in Rio de Janeiro. A meeting between piano and percussion, rap and maracatú, between urban and traditional generations in the presentations this weekend.
During the presentation will include the participation of FREEgideira, a group which is a fusion of hip-hop with maracatú and Bongar, with many praises, tunes and the world of popular demonstrations as Coco, Samba, Maracatú, Ciranda, Caboclinho, Bumba - meu-boi, Frevo and Candomblé.
Homage
The idea to gather the family and Maita Taubkin arises from the desire to honor and remember the singer, drummer, composer and journalist Paulo Amado Maita. Father of Teresa and Luisa Maita, both present on stage, Amado was a major presence in the life and music of musicians in Sao Paulo, including the brothers, Myriam, Daniel and Benjamin Taubkin.
Born in the neighborhood of the bladder, as well as creative and talented musician, Amado was a charismatic figure, who turned the car of his father in one of the most important meeting point for musicians from São Paulo between 70 and 80 years. Benjamin Taubkin - piano
Brazilian music has been the field for this instrumentalist, arranger, composer and producer. He was a founder of Group One with Lelo and Zé Eduardo Nazario Nazário.Trabalhou with Hermeto Pascoal for four years.

Sergio Pray - drums / percussion
Graduated with honors at Musicians Institute in the United States, percussionist Sergio Pray, since his return to Brazil, has acted in concert and on recordings with artists like Monica Salmaso, Paulinho da Viola, Zélia Duncan, John Bosco, Dominguinhos, Orchestra People's House, Arnaldo Antunes, Ney Matogrosso, Ivan Lins, among others.
His work on drums marked by strong stylistic identity, was nominated for the Visa Instrumentalists in 2001 and has contributed to expanding the boundaries of the instrument through the use of new timbres and melodic elements. Has served in several countries like Germany, France, United States, Spain, Portugal, England and Cuba. He is currently working with groups Ná Ozzetti, Dante and Ozzetti Ceumar; Wisnik; Benjamin Taubkin, Zeca Assumpção and Joatan Nascimento (Trio +1), Ana Luiza (winner of the Awards and Culture Visa interpreters), Arthur and Andrew Nestrovski Mehmari, who plays and records since 1998.
Joatan Birth-trumpet
With a musical education coming from bands and popular songs, also stands out as a symphonic musician and member of the Symphonic Orchestra of Bahia since 1989. He graduated in trumpet at the Federal University of Bahia and currently attends graduate school in musical performance by the same institution.
For thirteen years followed popular music stars such as Carlinhos Brown, Daniela Mercury and Caetano Veloso and built a solid reputation for recording discs in the market Bahia. In 2001 he was curator of the Design Directions Music performed by the ITAU Cultural. As a celebration of his twenty year career in 2002 recorded the CD "I weep" released by Maianga composed of mourners originally written for the trumpet.
Awarded three times with the Trophy CAYMMI, was nominated in 2003 for TIM Music Award in the category revelation. He is currently a doctoral student in the course of implementation Musical UFBA.
