Saxophonist Dave Koz was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 22. Barry Manilow and The Pursuit of Happyness author Chris Gardner were guest speakers at the ceremony. The crowd included actor Jason Alexander, Foo Fighters vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl and Johnny Mathis. Chris Botti, Rick Braun, Eric Darius, Kenny G, Michael Lington, Peter White and several more of Koz’s smooth-jazz pals also showed up for the ceremony.
The 12th Anniversary Dave Koz & Friends “A Smooth Jazz Christmas Tour” will launch on November 27. Koz will be joined by Braun, White, David Benoit and Brenda Russell on the 21-date holiday outing.
