Master musician George Winston’s melodic folk piano, through the platinum-selling albums Autumn, December, Winter Into Spring and Linus and Lucy – The Music of Vince Guaraldi, established his creativity as a composer and interpreter. The versatile Winston’s recorded catalogue also includes Night Divides the Day – The Music of the Doors, Gulf Coast Blues and Impressions and nearly a dozen more that stretch and expand on the solo piano vocabulary.

Also adept at 7-string acoustic guitar, Hawaiian slack-key guitar and harmonica, Winston has always refused to strictly categorize his piano music. “I just play the songs the best I can,” he says. “inspired by the seasons and the topographies and regions, and, occasionally, by sociological elements, and try to improve as a player over time.”

His “Winter Show”  will include melodic fall and winter-type songs, some of the Vince Guaraldi pieces, pieces inspired by the New Orleans piano & the stride piano traditions, and new songs from Winston's upcoming new recording, Spring Carousel – A Cancer Research Benefit.
