Mina Thomas

Featuring pianist Tony Hibbert II

Mina Thomas is certainly one of the most skillful and passionate Jazz and Gospel singers in the Hudson Valley. Her training and presentation are influenced by the elegant style of the great singers of the past.

Mina is experienced as a recording artist, actress, songwriter and spoken word poet, as well.   The eldest of six children, she was born into a love of music by her gifted, musical parents.  Mina's first vocal teacher, Consuelo Hill, featured her as a soloist in her Multicultural Girls Choir, leading the choir all the way to the McDonalds Gospelfest Competition and a performance at Madison Square Garden.

Mina began acting and singing lead roles in 'The Wiz', 'How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying', 'Into the Woods' and 'Once on This Island'. At SUNY New Paltz, she earned her BS in Contemporary Music Studies and Jazz Vocals. In 2013, Mina toured Europe with The Golden Voices of Gospel.
