Jeremy Siskind's Housewarming Project coming to Minnesota this weekend!
The Housewarming Project is jazz that moves with the elegance of a classical chamber ensemble but sings with the soul of the singer-songwriter movement.
Led by award-winning pianist Jeremy Siskind, their 2012 collection of songs on their first release, "Finger-Songwriter," explored personal love and loss, horror and heartbreak, movingly delivered by vocalist Nancy Harms and colored by woodwind master Lucas Pino, inspired by the poetry of Jorge Luis Borges, Seamus Heaney, and Derek Walcott.
Their 2015 release, "Housewarming," adds guest vocalists Kurt Elling, Peter Eldridge, and Kendra Shank. This album received a four-star review from DownBeat magazine, which raved that the album provides “a shining example” of chamber jazz.
Join Jeremy, Nancy and Lucas on August 22 at Vieux Carré in St. Paul (formerly the Artists' Quarter) to celebrate the release of their critically acclaimed new album, HOUSEWARMING! Learn more about the project here: www.jeremysiskind.com/music/housewarming/
