San Jose Jazz Summer Fest: Eddie Palmieri highlights initial lineup

Eddie Palmieri, the multi-Grammy-winning Latin jazz and salsa icon, will be a headliner at the 26th annual San Jose Jazz Summer Fest.
Etienne Charles Creole Soul, Glen David Andrews, Letieres Leite & Orkestra Rumpilezz, Chihiro Yamanaka Trio and Bombay Jazz are among the other acts scheduled for the three-day event, set for Aug. 7-9 in and around Plaza de Cesar Chavez in downtown San Jose.
The initial lineup, consisting of roughly 20 acts, was released this week. More acts will be announced May 7.
The San Jose Jazz fest is one of the Bay Area's biggest music events. It features 12 stages of live music and draws tens of thousands of fans annually.
