"Luminosa" reflects the sounds of Brasil from traditional choro music to the songs of Milton Nascimento and Edu Lobo. Along with these influences there are a few of my own songs and our take on Flying Lotus’ “Putty Boy Strut.” Check out a stream of that below!
I am proud to have had the following marvelous musicians creating different sounds and atmospheres with me:
Jason Lindner (acoustic and electric pianos), Joe Martin (bass), Daniel Freedman (drums), Gilmar Gomes (percussion), Romero Lubambo (acoustic guitars), and Gilad Hekselman (electric guitar). My choro group "Choro Aventuroso" is featured on the record as well - Vitor Gonçalces (accordion), Cesar Garabini (7-string guitar), and Sergio Krakowski (pandeiro). It was co-produced by Oded Lev-Ari and Jason Lindner
I'm looking forward to sharing this music with you over the coming months! The Quartet and I will be doing a tour of the West Coast this week and a Midwest tour in April. You can find links below for tickets and more info below! We'll be announcing even more dates soon.
We also gave http://www.anatcohen.com/ a makeover so check out the new site when you have a moment.
