Dear Friends,
From March 3-8, I will be in New York City performing in 12 different configurations over six days at The Stone, at the corner of 2nd Street and Avenue C.
My collaborators include The Microscopic Septet, Guy Klucevsek, Ned Rothenberg, Susie Ibarra, Andy Biskin, Curtis Hasselbring, Joe Ruddick, Pat Irwin, Ed Tomney and many others.
You can see more information about it here:
In anticipation of this event, I will be posting audio files that give the aroma of some of the performances, and just weird odds and ends, over the next few weeks. They are free, and many of them will be downloadable.
The first performance of my series, on Tue Mar 3rd at 8PM, is one in which I will play a series of solo soprano saxophone pieces, and also present some work that combines live and pre-recorded elements.
Here is a radio piece I made in 2006 which involves 16 overdubbed soprano saxophone tracks.
Please let me know if you would prefer NOT to receive these emails.
Likewise, please forward them to anyone you feel might be interested.
Hope to see you there.
Best regards,
PJ
