Vacaville will again play host to all forms of jazz as the annual Vacaville Jazz Festival holds it's three-day run Sept. 19 through 21.

The event, with more than 300 musicians performing jazz, Dixieland, blues, big band, swing, funk, pop and gospel, will be at citywide venues.

The free 15th edition of the gathering, which supports music programs through Save Our Music camps and clinics, always has a soft opening.

This year, a Latin jazz demonstration will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11, also at the Town Square library in downtown Vacaville.

The festival formally begins with Crossroads Jazz Camps from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 19 at Town Square. A festival founder, Keith Stout brings his Alive Music Orchestra combo and brother Ken Stout's group as featured acts on the first night. Jazz camps continue Sept. 20 at Town Square, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with music educator Robert Honeychurch, Stan Johnson's Black Rock Project Band and headliner J Harrison B Band.

Nut Tree, off East Monte Vista Avenue and Interstate 80, will be the site for World Jubiliee Day, from 1 to 10 p.m. Sept. 20.
