Marialy Pacheco – the exceptional jazz pianist from Cuba and winner of the " Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competiton 2012"- has been appointed by Bösendorfer Vienna as an official " Bösendorfer Artist"- she joins a group of exclusive artists.
In October 2013 Marialy Pacheco thrilled the audience with her solo performance at the Anniversary Gala celebrating " 185 Years of Bösendorfer " in the Brahms Saal of the Musikverein in Vienna. As a jazz pianist she celebrated together with international stars of classical music like Valentina Lisitsa , Maria Mazo and Paul Badura- Skoda, in a unique gala concert. Bösendorfer is the oldest premium piano manufacturer, and also presented the unique Model "Opus No. 50,000" there.
After the concert Marialy Pacheco said of it: "Most of all I would like to take this fantastic piano home - this exclusive "Opus No. 50,000" has the perfect sound for my playing style. But it’s also the perfect instrument for the Brahms Saal!”
In spring 2014, Marialy Pacheco received a call from Brian Kemble, Managing Director of Bösendorfer. He appointed her as a jazz pianist as an official "Bösendorfer Artist". Marialy Pacheco : "I was delighted - it's like a "musical accolade" for me! Playing a "Bösendorfer" and being also an official Bösendorfer artist representing this fantastic company, now inspires me tremendously!"
