Kincardine Summer Music Festival marking 23rd year with concert series August 3-8 and 10-16.

Celebrating its 23rd anniversary, the Kincardine Summer Music Festival concert series features jazz, blues, classical and chamber music performances and daytime music classes, to produce a unique musical event.
The KSMF concert series takes place at the Best Western Governor’s Inn Aug. 3-8, and at the Knox Presbyterian Church Aug. 10-16.
The 12 free KSMF “4 O’Clock In The Park” concerts run Sundays to Fridays Aug. 3-9 and Aug. 10-15 in Victoria Park.
Come downtown and enjoy the music, shop and dine and then head over to the brilliant performances headlining the KSMF Evening Concert Series starting at 7:30 pm.
KSMF daytime classes offer excellent programs from beginner to advanced levels, for adults, children and families, Aug. 11-15. Register online at www.ksmf.ca
Kincardine Summer Music Festival Jazz Faculty members Mike Rud, guitar and Mike Downes, bass, won 2014 JUNO Awards this year.
Mike Rud won the Vocal Jazz Album of the Year for Notes on Montreal with vocalist Sienna Dahlen, and Mike Downes won Traditional Jazz Album of the Year for Ripple Effect.
From Aug. 3-8 the evening concert series features jazz and blues artists. Aug. 11-16 the concert series will feature classical, folk and chamber music artists.
The KSMF Jazz Ensemble will kick off the Evening Concert Series on Sunday, Aug. 3. Performing with Mike Rud and Mike Downes will be Jules Estrin, trombone, Kelly Jefferson, sax; Ted Warren, drums. These are amazing players – a great chance to hear and meet award-winning musicians.
