Middle School Musicians did it again - 4x!

Congratulations to the Eighth Grade Band and Late Night Jazz Ensemble for a very successful trip to the Music in the Parks Competition held on May 3rd at Dorney Park in Allentown, Pa. Both groups earned1st Place in their divisions with Superior Ratings. Each group also took home the Best Overall Trophy for Best Overall Concert Band and Best Overall Jazz Ensemble.

Of the 33 musical groups that performed, Garden City earned 2 of the top 3 scores given at the festival! Mrs. Boonshaft and Ms. Iovino are very proud of the student's musical accomplishments and how they represented our community and our school. This was the fourth consecutive year that the two groups received these same awards.
