This is an exciting album by a band of deeply expressive soloists, playing the compositions of keyboardist Eliot Smith and trombonist Erick Storckman. The music largely stems from the soul-jazz and jazz fusion traditions.

This album represents the first fruits of the musical partnership between composers Eliot King Smith (keyboard) and Erick Storckman (trombone). For Storckman, this album represents his third release as a leader or co-leader, and for Smith, his second. They are joined on the album by some of the finest musicians playing anywhere today: Pete McCann on Guitar, Cliff Lyons on Tenor Sax, Andy Eulau on bass and Scott Neumann on drums.
