The premise is unchanged. Some of the world’s top professional jazz musicians are invited to spend a week with music students from Wenatchee and Eastmont. They learn what discipline and work is required to excel. They learn this in close contact with some of the best musicians on Earth. It is a fantastic opportunity, providing what music education often does — life lessons valuable on any path the students may take. There are jazz workshop students still making music well into adulthood. There are students who no longer play, but make use of the lessons learned every day.
