Representatives of Romanian jazz new wave will explore in a nonconformist jazz manner the famous hits of the Beatles, such as Hey Jude, Yesterday, Yellow Submarine, All You Need is Love, Lady Madonna and others. The event will take place on February 20.
The Beatles’ music, explored through jazz beats by musicians, will sound on Ghika Palace stage on February 20, at 8 pm, reports hotnews.ro. Catalina-Oana Beta and Adrian Nour will perform at the jazz concert. The event will be presented by the legendary radio-TV jazz presenter Florian Lungu.
The Bucharest jazz session Jazz Sindicate Live Sessions, started at the end of last year, aims to bring each month on the stage of Ghika Palace two concerts per evening. Positively one of the most enchanting presences and voices of Romanian jazz scene of the past few years, Catalina-Oana Beta, together with finalist of TV talent show “Vocea Romaniei (Romania’s Voice)” Adrian Nour, assisted by five of the most talented representatives of the new wave of Romanian jazz instrumentalists united under the already-famous name of Cantaloop.
Behind this name one can find jazz sax player Costin Rosu, disciple of legendary Dan Mandrila, thought to be the greatest Romanian jazz saxophonist ever, bassist Adrian Flautistu, famous musician who performed along with names such as Johnny Raducanu, Mircea Tiberian, Garbis Dedeian, then refined and sensitive drummer Stefan Benedict, experienced pianist Alex Borsan, who boasts a large number of famous collaborations and last, but not least, maybe the most talented representative of the new wave of jazzmen of Moldova, guitarist Liviu Negru.
