Alfonso Ribeiro will always remember James Avery because of their love of jazz music.
The 42-year-old actor claims listening to ''incredible'' music together will be his fondest memory of his 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' co-star following his death aged 68 on Tuesday (31.12.13) after complications during open heart surgery.
Speaking about his memories of James - who played Uncle Phil in the popular 1990s US sitcom - Alfonso told TMZ: ''My fondest memory would pretty much be the days in which he would play his incredible jazz music. I would always go in his dressing room and he would have the most amazing jazz music playing.
''I've learnt a lot about some great old school jazz musicians through Avery, and he will be missed by many.''
The tribute comes after Alfonso, who played James' on-screen son Carlton Banks in 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air', took to his Facebook page to break the news of his pal's death and praised the late actor for being a ''wonderful father figure'' to him.
