You've heard me rave about director Raymond De Felitta's jazz documentary 'Tis Autumn: The Search for Jackie Paris. And I may have mentioned Rob the Mob, Raymond's upcoming film based on a true story about a young married couple—Rosemarie and Thomas Uva—who decide to hold up Mafia social clubs in 1992 under the misguided assumption they won't get caught, since mobsters don't like to admit they were robbed. Eight films ago in 1990, when Raymond was 23, he wrote and directed his first movie—a short, called Bronx Cheers. It was nominated for a Best Live Action Oscar in 1991.
