Have a nice lineup of Indian classical (Deepti Navaratna), South African Jazz (Kheswa), something different with some indie electro-pop (We Were Lovers), famous Brazilian vocalist (Pauala Santoro), Mario Adnet's Grammy nomination, African blues (Leni Stern), Brazilian accordion (Toninho Ferragutti), and Nigerian music in New York.

Deepti Navaratna - The Carnatic Voice goes Contemporary; Deepti Navaratna Crosses the Divide on Ka One music is written down and followed to the last note. The other leaves ample room and insists upon individual interpretation. One resounds with harmony, the other emphasizes the perfection of monody. With Deepti Navaratna, these two musical traditions—Western classical and Indian classical—can resonate beautifully together.

Mario Adnet - Brazil’s Mario Adnet Nominated for Latin Grammy: His Masterful Approach to Villa-Lobos’ Lush Legacy on Um Olhar Sobre Villa-Lobos "Um olhar Sobre Villa-Lobos" has just been nominated for Best Classical Album on the 2013 Latin Grammy, the same category that Adnet won in 2004, with "Jobim Sinfonico". “I don't use folklore, I am the folklore,” Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos stated boldly.

This Wolof expression can mean “Take it!” or “Grab it!” or “Seize the moment,” but, like so many of the world’s great untranslatable words, carries a richer, deeper, contextual meaning. It’s that contextual core, that drives Leni Stern’s 20th full-length album and her deepest foray into African music yet.
