For wine and music lovers, the Mental Health Association of Washington County’s Wine, Jazz & Pops Festival has turned into a can’t-miss event.
On Aug. 3 and 4, the MHA will host its third annual festival at North Strabane Municipal Park, featuring local and national artists.
Headliners include national jazz recording artist Marion Meadows, a renowned saxophonist who recently released his 13th album, “Whispers.”
Washington native Will Brock, now a Philadelphia musician who writes, produces and performs, will join Meadows on the keyboards.
The two-day festival will feature live jazz and pops performances by the Washington Symphony Orchestra with Yugo Ikach and the Washington Jazz Orchestra, who will play Broadway tunes and classic jazz favorites; an array of delicious food offerings from Ruthie’s Concessions, Big Girls BBQ and L.A. Sweets, and a variety of standout wines from regional wineries.
In addition, there will be specialty craft booths including Wilson Stained and Fused Glass, Recycled Memories, Focal Point Designs, Cynthia Grant Jewelry, Cil’s Silver, Distractions Jewelry, Herbal Kitchen Creations and Avon.
“Everybody who’s come has had a good time, and this year it’s going to be better than ever. We’re thrilled that we’ve been able to bring some national entertainment here,” said Lynne Loresch, executive director of MHA.
