Scott Martin Latin Soul Band
The Borneo Jazz festival is back for another thrilling fusion of music, magical adventure and merry-making. It’s all happening on Friday and Saturday in Miri, Sarawak. Music fans can expect a memorable musical experience from the Lisa Young Quartet (Australia), The Nylons (Canada), Hazmat Modine (USA) and our West Jazz Band.
To whet the appetites of fans in the Peninsula, two of the music acts from Borneo Jazz will be in Petaling Jaya for special performances.
Billed as the Borneo Jazz preview, the event will see Jump4Joy from Sweden and the Scott Martin Latin Soul Band from the United States performing tomorrow and on Wednesday from 7-10pm.
Jump4Joy is a popular Scandanavian high energy and feel good outfit with a strong New Orleans flavour. Expect an entertaining mix of funk, blues, gospel and rock music.
Scott Martin has performed all over the world and is known for his 13-year collaboration with the Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band, which won a Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Performance. His current band is a musical hybrid of Latin jazz and soul music.
