Jazz gigs of the week (08/12/12): Roller Trio

TIM CUMMING

Nominated for Mercury, MOBO and JazzFM awards, the trio who met at the Leeds School of Music – saxophonist James Mainwaring, garage-y guitarist Luke Wynter and drummer Luke Reddin-Williams – combine spikey riffs, electronics, and a cosmic sense of time and space.

They're part of the F-Ire Collective, which aims to "sustain the creative lives of their members and the surrounding community; to ensure that their creativity functions well inside the wider community".
