Leominster High School’s Jazz Band and about 3,000 of the USA’s best music students will perform and compete at the Berklee High School Jazz Fest at the Hynes in Boston this Saturday, March 10.
This is a day filled with music: entertainment, enjoyment, learning and $175,000 in scholarships to Berklee’s Five Week Summer Performance Program, to competition winners.
Your invitation comes from Leominster School Band Directors, encouraging students (not performing at Berklee) and family to attend. Seeing and hearing the best high school students perform is a sure way to inspire students in their own school performance efforts and growth.
The music performed varies from classic big band swing to progressive jazz and rock. The bands compete in large and small ensembles as well as vocalists categories. This full day of music concerts, clinics, competitions and awards runs from 9 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Leominster’s performance are: LHS Combo Ensemble - 9:30 to 9:55 a.m.; LHS Jazz Band Ensemble - 10:50 to 11:15 a.m.; LHS Blue Devils Combo Ensemble - 3:25 to 3:50 p.m.
Attendance is open to the public and admission is free. For more information, please visitwww.LeominsterMusic.com or speak with school directors ~ Mr. Hudson, Mr. Landry, Ms. Marso and Mr. Zuaro.
