If you ever spent any time in band as a kid or like jazz music, you will know what a brass instrument is. These are the horns like the trumpet and others that are made from brass. A new iPhone dock has surfaced called the Trumstand that looks like some sort of meted together trumpet and iPhone dock.
The device is all-acoustic with no digital amps or other hardware inside it. The music from the iPhone comes out through the specially designed S-shape horn. The bends are said to be tuned to offer more bass. The stand is a design form a Japanese firm called Pleiades.
There are gold plated and a silver plated version of the Trumstand. I wonder what this thing sounds like. I wonder if it sounds good. I would bet this thing is expensive considering it's apparently plated in real gold or real silver.
