Kennedy Center Swing Festival: Learn the moves

“Swing, Swing, Swing,” a festival at the Kennedy Center devoted to the music and dances of the Swing Era, has opened. Sunday the popular Gypsy jazz violinist Tony Ballog will be playing in the center’s dance hall at 6 p.m.

Swing swept all areas of the country during the Big Band era. And one of the primary figures was Count Basie, doing the “One O’Clock Jump” in the following video.
