Announcing the debut release by the Nathan Douds Ensemble
The Nathan Douds Ensemble is a group that performs original compositions that aim to combine any and all divergent musical styles into a new genre-less sound. While this is the primary goal of the group, it is easy to hear several very distinct influences including: contemporary and avant-garde jazz, contemporary classical and chamber music, rock/fusion, various world musics, and electro-acoustic music.
The members of this ensemble have immensely diverse musical influences, educational backgrounds, and career paths, all of which are contributing factors that allow this group to remain as diverse and flexible as it is. By utilizing all of these diverse influences, the group is able to create a unique musical language that helps to blur the lines of the various styles the group attempts to incorporate.
