The John ColtraneInternational Jazz and
Blues Festival brought thousands of music lovers and some big names to High
Point.
Around a dozen artists jammed out at Oak Hollow Festival Park on Saturday. This was the first year for the festival, but organizers hope to make it an annual event.
Some fans walked away with more than just an afternoon of enjoyment. The Friends of John Coltrane group donated instruments to several students from Penn-Griffin School for the Arts in hopes of inspiring future musicians.
