Brasileirinho is a cry made in 1947 by Waldir Azevedo, Brazilian composer and musician, master of the ukulele. It is considered the most successful in the history of the genre. It was recorded by Carmen Miranda, and later by musicians from around theworld. Azevedo is responsible for the introduction of the ukulele as a solo instrument,since, until then, he just ran
as a companion to musical groups.
