Sally Kellerman has one of the most recognizable voices in the world....

Sally Kellerman has one of the most recognizable voices in the world.  She also starred as the infamous Hot Lips Houlihan in Robert Altman’s M*A*S*H, one of the most popular feature films of all time for which she was nominated for both an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award.

Sally Kellerman has amassed an impressive resume of memorable feature film, television and theater credits that total in the hundreds and continues to grow each year …and she has done all of this while gaining the respect and admiration of an extremely loyal worldwide audience and an equally discriminating industry.

She has made us laugh (Back To School opposite Rodney Dangerfield), she has made us cry (Big Blond).  She has made nearly all women in the world proud (Boynton Beach Bereavement Club) while making their husbands…well…(think M*A*S*H).

Sally Kellerman has even made us hungry (the renowned voice behind the Hidden Valley Salad Dressing commercials and current voice of a popular Milkyway spot).  There is not much Sally Kellerman has not done.

But what is most exciting about Sally Kellerman and all that she has accomplished so far during her more than 30 years in the business is…that it is only the beginning.

Enter Sally Kellerman 2008…A quintessential woman who has successfully balanced a thriving career with marriage, motherhood and personal growth for more than three decades.  A role model who has humbly earned pop icon status, Sally has always been and remains a vibrant and necessary example of a positive, risk-taking, truly unique person who lives life with an indelible passion that keeps her eternally young.

The main source of her passion besides her family and film career is her love of music and singing which she has been doing since she was a child.  Under contract with Verve Records at the age of 18, Sally has been blessed with a signature voice and style as well as an uncanny ability to make a song her own.  Sally’s first recording experience with the legenary Lou Adler (Mamas and Papas, Carole King, Sam Cook) in the early 70s led to her well-reviewed debut album Roll With The Feeling.

The consummate performer, Sally has toured with her “anti-show” along with 2008 Grammy nominated keyboardist and songwriter, Chris Caswell, delighting audiences everywhere from Los Angeles to San Francisco to New York, performing for a Leiber and Stoller tribute at Carnegie Hall along with numerous acclaimed artists including Natalie Cole.

It was at one of her local Los Angeles shows that she captivated Don Heckman, the highly respected and prestigious music critic for the Los Angeles Times.

Hailed by Heckman in a glowing review as “someone who has the full package of skills…required to establish herself as a first-rate jazz and blues-tinged vocalist,” Sally Kellerman, the singer, is now ready to take the world by storm.  Again.

This time with a new CD that Heckman said “can’t come too soon for a singing talent that has been hovering behind her busy career as an actress and voice over performer for far too many years.”

Set to be released February  2009, the new CD titled Sally is as richly layered and provocative as Sally herself.  A fitting mix of jazzy blues and adult standards with a touch of soulful rock, the CD of Caswell originals and cover songs is the result of a successful collaboration with the Grammy Award winning producer Val Garay as well as some of the most talented musicians in the industry including Russ Kunkel (Drums), Leland Sklar (Bass), Dean Parks (Guitar).

Also lending his support behind the scenes is Sally’s husband of 30 years veteran producer Jonathan D. Krane who has produced more than 46 feature films including the Look Who’s Talking trilogy, Face/Off, Swordfish and Boris and Natasha among many others.

Always the trendsetter, Sally married a man 15 years her junior…making them she says with a laugh “the original Demi and Ashton.”

Sally was also at the forefront of another current craze that is now spreading through Hollywood, having twins.  Sally first adopted her sister’s daughter Claire in the late ‘60’s.  She and Jonathan then adopted their children at birth, a twin boy and girl, Jack and Hannah who most recently celebrated their graduation from High School.

Truly one of a kind but with a style, humility and accessibility that makes people worldwide feel like they have known her all of their lives, Sally Kellerman is  chock full of funny, touching, practical and impractical stories about the challenges and rewards of juggling a successful and thriving career with marriage and motherhood.  In addition to currently focusing on her blossoming singing career, Sally is reluctantly working on a book about her life and many experiences.

Sally also contributes time and energy to numerous worthy causes including the Hereditary Disease Foundation, Planned Parenthood, AIDS Research and the environment.

Sally Kellerman is as immensely talented as she is unstoppable.  Full of surprises, Sally is a glowing testament to the “its never too late” philosophy with all aspects of life.

Be true to yourself.  Live YOUR life.  Work to turn the negatives into positives and embrace not only the past and the present but the future which holds endless possibilities for everyone regardless of silly little details like age....
