Hi There
I hope this email finds you well. I have been so busy teaching music to elementary school children as well as teaching private students that I haven't had much opportunity to connect with you. The economy has sparked new ideas and innovations in ways that I hadn't considered before and I wanted to share some of these thoughts with you.
I have been preparing songs for my fourth CD, a project filled with music that will stretch the boundaries of latin jazz even further than what I have already done. I am very excited about this project; it will be much more vulnerable, sparse and exciting to the ears. I am planning on pairing diverse instruments with the voice to create a more varied and interesting sound.
I am blessed to be able to finally live the life of my dreams, and now I would love to share this passion by offering house concerts to those who are interested. I can come with a duo (piano and voice), a trio (piano, bass ((or percussion)) and voice) or a 4-5 piece group (piano, bass, drums/percussion, woodwinds and voice) and my sound system. We will perform for you, your friends and neighbors for 90 minutes.
You will be encouraged to select songs from my repertoire to create a more tailored concert. We would then hang out for a meet and greet with your guests for up to another hour. We request that your guests pay a sliding scale between $10 and $20 per person at the door and will require at least 30 people at each concert. 100% of the money earned would go to the musicians (and my new CD project). You, at your discretion, could supply light snacks and drinks, or ask your guests to bring treats for the event. It would essentially be a really fun and intimate musical party!
Is this something you would be interested in doing? We have performed at house concerts in the past and they have been great fun.
If we can book multiple house concerts in one weekend in your area, then we will be happy to travel outside of the SF Bay Area. I already have one house concert request in Redondo Beach, CA. Let's see if you can help us book two more concerts before we can make the trip down.
Let us know if you, or someone you know, is interested in enjoying this fun and innovative way to experience live music. I look forward to sharing our new project with you.
