What is Jazzuv?
It is a project of the Universidad Veracruzana for education, dissemination and promotion of jazz. Born in 2008 as a cultural movement involving the various actors who converge in the field of jazz. Musicians, researchers, teachers, students, school officials, entrepreneurs, managers, music critics and the general public, all the jazz lovers find in Jazzuv a space of possibilities for interaction and creativity.
Vision.
In Jazzuv, jazz is seen as a way of doing things. One way to address the music in creative and innovative, fully aware of the richness of world music and inclusive spirit to popular music genres and languages. In Jazzuv, jazz is synonymous with musical opening.
Educational offer.
In its wide range of educational courses can find permanent, clinics, seminars, forums and concerts with internationally renowned guest artists as Francisco Mela, Christopher Crenshaw, Eddie Gomez, Jason Palmer, Osmani Paredes and others. It also has academic links with institutions of international standing in the jazz education as Berklee School of Music, Musinetwork and North Texas University. In 2011 offered the Bachelor of Jazz Studies, with academic programs supported by the Universidad Veracruzana.
