Garota de Ipanema History....

Vinicius de Moraes wrote the lyrics of the song Girl from Ipanema inspired by a girl who often spent in front of the Veloso Bar in Ipanema. This girl calls Heloisa Eneida Menezes Pinto Parents - better known as Helo Pinheiro. Garota de Ipanema is one of the most famous songs of bossa nova and its recording in English (lyrics by Norman Gimbel), by singer Astrud Gilberto in 1963, launched The Girl from Ipanema and worldwide success. Turns out from behind the Ming of this little-known music conceals truths by the public and admirers of this work re-recorded by musicians of different melodies and rhythms.

Mr. Arnaldo Agria Huss , poet and writer of the weekend brings to light very strong stories and a force greater than blog Breathe Tourism with support of camaraderie where Vanesa Lopes opened up support for their friends and visiting the Butterfly Jade enjoyed without moderation. Follows in its entirety in the postage stamp made by Mr. Arnold and Lady Vanesa duplicate.

"Although I had been told formally, not many people believe and do not conform:" The Girl from Ipanema "was not done by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes in the bar that had the name of Veloso and is now called Garota de Ipanema in the street that was then and Montenegro became Vinicius de Moraes, at the corner of Prudente de Moraes (no relation between the two). For purposes of location, street Vinicius de Moraes goes to the Avenida Vieira Souto, on the verge of Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. The song was composed in 1962, coming to be regarded as the anthem of bossa nova, even more than "Chega de Saudade," recorded by Joao Gilberto in 1958, which had caused a revolution in popular music . Garota de Ipanema "can be considered one of the greatest twentieth-century standards. It has been and continues to be recorded by so many people that do not know how your royalties are administered by companies that take care of it. Officially would have close to 300 recordings, but the actual number should be close to double that, considering the unauthorized versions that live references. Frank Sinatra recorded it and of course you know who he is. But who could tell Floyd the Barber "no" Yeah. Floyd is a rapper. It is said that his recording of "Girl from Ipanema" is legalized. Regarding the number of plays the song, according to official figures, "Girl from Ipanema" rivals "Yesterday" by Lennon & McCartney, both outpacing the home of 5 million.

Today the major internet portals contain, each, a minimum of 600 000 entries for "The Girl from Ipanema." Outside the sites in Russian, Greek, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic and other languages for which the computer would need to have the characters adapted. "Garota de Ipanema" was first exhibited at a show in Night Club Bon Gourmet, in Copacabana, Rio. On opening night in August 1962, no one knew what would come after Tom strum something on the piano, and Joao Gilberto singing:

"Tom, if you did and now a song / That can tell us / Tell them what is love?"
To which Tom replied:

"Hey Johnny, I would not know / No Vinicius to make the poetry ..."
The poet (Vinicius) picked up the tone and say

"For this song takes place / I wish the John to sing ..."
And Joao Gilberto, incredibly modest, completed:

"Ah, but who am I? / I'm over you / Better if we cantássemos three ... "
And three:

"Look at this thing, more full of grace ..."

Needless to say this was a great moment in the lives of all who were there - a moment that lasted 45 days, to the point of forgetting that in that show were also released and sung other songs such as "Corcovado," " samba from my land ',' How Insensitive ',' One Note Samba, which also came to be great successes. All this was written by attorney George Karam, a lover of music and that could have generated a great record, but the participants - do not know why - they never allowed it to be done.

And so we lost an amazing historical document, especially the fact that after those successes in 1962, Tom and Vinicius never compose together. The reasons given were the trips and in fact, Tom went to New York and Vinicius returned to exercise their diplomatic duties in Paris. But the first official recording on disc, "The Girl from Ipanema" was made by Pery Ribeiro, the Odeon, and the Tamba Trio, at Philips, in January 1963.

Even in 1963, but in May, Tom Jobim himself released the song in the United States, made his first album there, called "T he Composer of Desafinado." Returning to the birth of "The Girl from Ipanema", Tom and Vinicius had never written songs like style at tables of bars, although in these bars have invested the best hours of their lives. The melody was composed by Tom meticulously on the piano at his home on Rua Barao da Torre, Ipanema, and had no music for original destination as the letter of Vinicius, but rather a musical comedy entitled "BLIMP" which Vinicius had in mind, but never put on paper.

The letter was written by Vinicius was not born in Petropolis, and calling themselves "The Girl from Ipanema", and yes, "Girl goes," and his whole first part was different. After the two met, and, finally, was born the song completely. The Veloso served only as a reference, although bear in its walls until today copies of the score of the melody and give the illusion that a small table in the corner, next to the toilet today, would have been the exact spot where the two were to write the song, to see the girl going the way of the sea.

As for the girl she was famous even Heloisa Eneida Menezes Paes Pinto, later known as Helo Pinheiro. Veloso was in that Tom and Vinicius saw her pass many times, not only the way to the beach in Ipanema on Viera Souto, but also the way to school, the seamstress and the dentist. At first, Helo Pinheiro did not realize that the song was in his honor, but soon became suspicious because since 1962, two well-informed subjects of the magazine "FACTS AND PHOTOS" (R onaldo Boscoli, Helio Santos and reporter, photographer) lived insisting on photographing her in one of those "two parts" means scandalous for its time, but today would give for making numerous "wire-dental."

They managed the feat, but only after the father of Helo, a general hard-line, made sure the good intentions of the two. But it was only three years later, in 1965, when Helo had 22 years of marriage and was marked him that Tom and Vinicius revealed that the song was dedicated to her. Helô has become famous, which created a mixture of pride and discomfort in general and groom, because everyone wanted to know "the most beautiful and more full of grace."

They wanted to put it as the official symbol of the city because the river that year celebrated its fourth anniversary. The father and the general hardline jealous boyfriend have left. Nor do they let participate in the filming of the movie "The Girl from Ipanema" performed in 1967, and was the first major production in colors called Cinema Novo.

Well, after all these prohibitions, the time now, and decided to treat all other interests. The subject was already half-forgotten when, 25 years after that afternoon in Veloso, finally all might enjoy - this time completely - the attributes of "The Girl from Ipanema" original, in the May issue of Playboy Brazil 1987. Although 25 years is not 25 days. Vai daí… Go there ...

This is the truth about the birth of one of the most beautiful songs of bossa nova and, for that matter, the popular music of all time. Garota de Ipanema continues to enthrall even today those who hear it first.
